Mexican national team plays in Europe

The Mexican national soccer team played a couple of games in Europe to prepare for world cup qualifying games coming up in early next year. The first game was Friday in Poland against the host country. The game ended up in a 1-1 draw. 48 hours later Mexico played again, this time in Barcelona, Spain against Chile. The game was did not have a lot of intensity considering both teams had used their starters two days earlier, Mexico against Poland and Chile against Spain. The game ended up in 1-0 victory for Mexico.
These games were important because for many years people have wanted for Mexico to play in Europe against competitive teams. The Mexican national team always plays in the US because they feel like they are playing home and also because they get a lot of money doing it. Critics have waited a long time for games like these because they want Mexico to feel the pressure of playing against a difficult team in their home turf. Not losing these two games is a step in the right direction for the Mexican national team who will play against one of the best teams in the world, Brazil, later this year. Below are the links to watch the highlights of both games.

Mexico 1-1 Poland

Mexico 1-0 Chile
